Join us Saturday December 8th from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 for some pre holiday cheer on the tennis courts!  The cost is $15 per person.  If you would like to participate in the ornament exchange, please bring a wrapped ornament (under $15).  Call the Pro-Shop today to reserve your spot!

T-t-t-t-turkey T-t-t-trot!

It was a mighty chilly wind that blew on the 24 brave mixers for our first annual Turkey Trot Tennis Mixer.  A great time was had by all, and despite the chattering teeth, we got in two great rounds of tennis.  We were warmed by tasty hot appetizers, cheese and crackers, delicious beverages, and a crackling fire in the chiminea!

OCCTA Turkey Trot Tennis Mixer

Start your Thanksgiving holiday a little early with us out of the tennis courts!  Join us Friday November 16 from 7:00- 9:30 p.m. for some tennis, laughs, and fun!  Call 282-2829 or email Jenny at jgray@onioncreekclub.com to reserve your spot!

DGG Champion of Champions Cup

The 1st annual Dominion Golf Group Champion of Champions Cup will be held Saturday January 26, 2013 here at Onion Creek.  Form your team of (1) line of ladies doubles at the 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 level and enter today!  The tournament will be a round robin team competition.  Which DGG club will take home the trophy and which team will take home the bragging rights?!  The cost is $40 per player.  Form your team today!  For more information, please email Jenny at jgray@onioncreekclub.com.

USTA Spring 2013 League

Onion Creek is looking to put together a women's 3.0 team and a men's 3.0 team to play in the Spring 2013 USTA Leagues.  If you are interested in playing singles or doubles, please give Jenny a call.  Matches will be on Saturdays or Sundays starting in February.

Rally Like You Mean It

Onion Creek Tennis outdid itself at the Inaugural Rally for the Cure!  Three hours of tennis, followed by a lunch, and oh, yes, SHOPPING!





And all for a great cause.  We had newcomers, old-timers, future Wimbledon champions (see right). We even had some golfers stop by to "help" us with lunch on the lawn.  Beautiful weather, great food, great tennis, and great company made for an event that we will all look forward to every year.  Even if there weren't cupcakes.  But there are!

For all the good times, we must remember what we're fighting against.  This is a cause very close to Jenny's heart, and our honor flags brought in a goodly portion of what we raised.   Let's make sure that we honor and celebrate those we have lost and our proud survivors!

And let's not forget the silent auction.  Members and friends donated many tempting items to help us raise money from wine sets to tennis balls and bags to music to lawn care.  We so appreciate everyone who so generously gave.  AND we are so grateful to everyone who bid.  Here are some of our enticing offerings:

The day ended with our door prizes and gift bags.  Not a bad party favor in the least.  And we left with many great memories of tennis for a great cause.  See you next year!
